Achieving When Not Feeling Like It !!!

I realized that many times I hold back on doing my work because I do not feel like doing it at that particular moment. Many of us would rather do today's work tomorrow which I noticed is not a very clever way to go about achieving success.

The secret to not feeling like doing a task, yet doing it anyway, is to discover the “psychic income” you receive when you overcome the urge to avoid the unpleasant tasks. Those who are good at doing the painful, distasteful tasks will tell you they experience an internal pay-off. It is a satisfaction on a psychological level that feels rewarding and fulfilling. Be prepared for the natural tug-of-war that will rage within you as you face the hard things you’d rather avoid. Part of you wants to find something easier to do, but the part of you that says, “I don’t feel like it, but I still have to do it” is the one worth listening to.

My plan from now on is to always do when I do not feel like doing. I believe that by doing this I will always reach my goals even when I am discouraged or not motivated enough.

First Imagine A Bridge And Then Build It

Today I learned that visualization is a very important tool in helping me become more and more successful in my life. To me imagining what my life will be like when I am successful is very important and it serves as the fuel and motivation that I need to act more on what I want to accomplish in life.

I have always wanted to become a successful entrepreneur, but since I am not there yet, I think imagining what and how my life style will be like is very important. Einstein said that the imagination is more important than knowledge. The more vividly and accurately you imagine your success, the easier it will be for the rest of your self to follow through.

What I will start doing from now on is dedicating a few minutes every day for the mental movies of my success. By doing this I will always be motivated to turn it into a realty to see how it compared to my imagination.

Where's The Money At?

" Action is the foundational key to all success"

Today I realized that I have been patiently waiting to make the choices that will lead me to money and success. Up to this point in my life I have never asked anyone to help me make money, nor have I asked anyone to invest in me. Well today that changes I never realized how many contact I have that could help me grow financially. The reason I guess I have never asked too much from anyone is the fear of rejection, however the rejection I might get from someone might just be another opportunity for acceptance from someone else. It is very true when they say always ask for a helping hand, and that is what I plan to start on doing because if I never take the chance I might never reach my goals And because I am a very determined person and I am hungry for success I will have to do anything and everything in my power to attain it. So starting today I will take action towards my personal success.

Experiences vs Money

Most people I know always say " I need to become a millionaire" or I want to become rich before 30", and for many people, having money is what will determine the level of happiness they experience in life. However what they do not realize is that happiness is just an emotion and not particularly a result of an action. Think about it, if you just smile for no reason or even laugh out of the blue for no reason, doesn't that mean that you are happy?

I was the same way, and like many my main goal has always been to become rich, until I really thought about how I would feel when I did in fact achieve financial success.  I realized that achieving financial prosperity is not the goal I should be going for, but rather I should be chasing the experiences that would make me happy in life. For example I made a list of all the places I would like to travel to in my lifetime, and after making that list I calculated how much it would cost me to go on a safari in Africa or to go on a Euro Trip. I also made a list of all the cars I would like to own in my lifetime and calculated how much they would cost as well. I essentially created a long list of all the things I would like to acquire in my lifetime and how much they would cost me. By creating this list, it made it more clear to me exactly how much money I need in order to feel rich , and where as before I used to say I want to become a millionaire or rich, now I say I need to make 10 million dollars in order to get what I want from life. Even though ten million is still considered a high number to many, at least for me I now know that I do not to need to have 100 or 200 million to be happy, I only need 10 million. And what this allows me to do is work on achieving that number rather than not knowing what level of rich I want to reach.

Change Is Okay

Personal learning of the day

Today I learned that sometimes in life if I want to achieve things that I have never achieved, I need to become a person that I never was. This is something that I never really thought about until now. What I have been doing recently is placing my self mentally and envision what the experiences would feel like  if I was in the position that I wanted to be in. For example, I always imagine what It would be like to be a CEO of a major corporation, however I never stopped to think about what kind of personality I would need to have to become the "CEO", or what kind of clothes would I be wearing, how would I treat the people around me, what would my office look like ect.... So basically what I do now is I place myself in that position mentally and by doing this, I can then realize how I can change in order to align my lifestyle to fit this particular position that I strive to reach, to me its almost like a puzzle when trying to fit two pieces together . I learned today that it is okay for me to change and grow in order to reach a goal without having fear of failure.

 University learning of the day

Today in one of my management classes, I learned about the "International Surf Lifesaving Association" run by Henry Reyes and Olin Patterson. They needed votes in order to get $2.5 million dollars in grant money from Chase Bank, It was very interesting to learn how many deaths occur around the world just from drowning. I believe it is very important to help others in any way I can so that I would have good Karma in the future and so that I can personally feel better. We should all be able to lend a hand and help out even if it is as small as a vote that could change someone's life.Hopefully they win the grant money and continue to help others in need.
